A/Prof Karen Lamb
Karen is a consultant biostatistician at the University of Melbourne. She completed a PhD at the University of Strathclyde (Scotland) in 2010 and was employed by ViCBiostat from 2012 to 2014 before being awarded an Alfred Deakin Postdoctoral Fellowship at Deakin University in 2014.
Her biostatistical research interests include methods for dealing with correlated data structures, in particular, multilevel data, and spatial analysis techniques involved in the analysis of neighbourhood effects on health outcomes. Karen is passionate about statistical communication and was awarded a position as a Science and Technology Australia Superstar of STEM (2017-2018) to promote women working in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
