The Victorian Centre for Biostatistics (ViCBiostat) has the core aim of building the discipline of biostatistics in Victoria and Australia, primarily by fostering the careers of a new generation of biostatistical leaders.
To support this aim, ViCBiostat is offering in 2014 a Visiting Fellowship which is designed to provide financial support (up to $AUD 2000) to an early or mid-career biostatistician for a two-week visit to ViCBiostat. ViCBiostat is led by five senior academic biostatisticians from the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI), Monash University and The University of Melbourne. One of these institutions will host the successful applicant.
The aims of this Visiting Fellowship scheme are to:
- support capacity development in biostatistics research (outside of Victoria)
- enable visiting fellows to obtain an insight into the research activities of ViCBiostat
- promote potential research collaborations
Please see the guidelines attached for information regarding eligibility. An application form is available to download from the website if you are interested in applying for this unique opportunity.
Applications close on Friday 30th May 2014 at 5.00pm Melbourne time.
